Pocket Yacht Company brings big boating energy to New Bern
This September, Pocket Yacht Company will launch their first North Carolina Rendezvous, themed “Carolina Castaways,” at the Oriental Marina & Inn on September 13th. Open to Ranger Tugs, Cutwater, and Solara owners, the event will feature seminars, food, live music, and plenty of dockside fun. It follows two successful spring rendezvous held in Florida and Maryland.
The dealership represents a full lineup of Ranger Tugs, Cutwater Boats, Solara Boats, and NorthCoast Boats, offering versatile options for cruising couples and families. But what truly sets them apart is their focus on community. Pocket Yacht hosts several owner-rendezvous events each year, bringing boaters together to learn, connect, and enjoy life on the water.
Since launching in 2011, Pocket Yacht Company has carved out a unique niche in the marine industry by specializing in trailerable cruising boats. Their brands are ideal for boaters seeking comfort and adventure while coastal cruising, weekending, or completing the Great Loop.
What began as a small, family-run business has grown into one of the most trusted dealerships on the East Coast, with locations in Maryland, Florida, and North Carolina.
To support growing demand, Pocket Yacht is expanding its New Bern office. Land recently purchased next door is being developed into a new facility to enhance the boat-buying and ownership experience. At the helm of their North Carolina office is the husband-and-wife team, Captain Chris Holtsclaw and Maria Altamuro. Both are lifelong cruisers with a passion for the water and bubbly personalities to match.
