Reel Girl Clothing Co. — Wilmington, NC

Sharon North Vilcins is the proud founder of Reel Girl Clothing Co., a Southeast local retail brand that specializes in women’s fishing apparel. “We know that unlike the ocean our bodies aren’t one-size-fits-all. In Reel Girl, you can look good and feel good while you’re sport fishing,” according to Vilcins. From stylish hats to jackets and windbreakers, there is more than enough to choose from, no matter your needs on the water.

Tailin' Ties — Charleston, SC

Talk about a piece of clothing that is handcrafted from top to tail — Tailin’ Ties began as an idea by owner/founder Evan Keisler as a way to offer quality products that are unique to fishermen.

From the black twill fabric sourced in the US to the local seamstresses that sew these pieces to a high quality, you may never have a more tailored piece of more formal coastal-themed wares.

Everything is themed to South Carolina, from their redfish-colored ties to their collections of sunglass straps with colors palettes related to Lowcountry marshes (even Clemson University for sport fans).

Plus, for those who like the brand also carries a collection of Banded Waterfowl ties with the vibrant coloring of some beautiful birds.

Sand Fly Hat Co — Richmond Hill, Georgia

SandFly Hat Co is a coastal and outdoor inspired company that produces coastal-themed hats and shirts. Co-owners Josh and Shanna say that this brand “was created because of our passion for fishing, outdoor fun and cool hats,” and there’s no doubt that they’ve delivered. From classic rope hats in a myriad of colors and designs to both flat and curved bill hats that sport local wildlife and catch, there’s something for every boater and angler.
